Well! That was an unexpectedly large update. Let's go over the two metric ton of patch notes:

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • To match Strato 2, your movement is one pixel faster, and you can move in a full 360 degrees with an analog stick. If you want eight directions only, this can be toggled in the pause menu.
  • Combos are reworked: your combo meter drains slower, but you need to actually kill an enemy in order to keep your combo going.
  • Your hitbox is much smaller
  • Enemy bullets have been visually redesigned to match Strato 2's; they also have a smaller hitbox
  • Bug and crash fixes

MODE CHANGES

  • Shuffle Mode has been added; like in Super Freaks 1 Ultimate Edition, you can keep playing the levels endlessly in a random order.
  • Arcade Mode now loops endlessly (goes back to the start after beating the final boss). With each loop, killing an enemy will make them shoot one extra bullet at you. The logical conclusion is that on loop 100, an enemy shoots 100 bullets at you in a constant stream after dying, like in Gradius. The above video is a playthrough of Arcade Mode Loop 100. You can see the nuttiness for yourself!

ETC. CHANGES

  • More new characters; see for yourself in the readme!
  • Level renames: Purple Palace = Fruit Juice Factory, Sticky Stronghold = Sticky's Inner Sanctum (if this particular change seems random, it'll make more sense later).
