Super Freaks 1 Ultimate Edition has been far more successful than I ever expected it to be in a lot of ways, but one I was not expecting was an interest in the original Super Freaks trilogy. I am close to finishing updates for the original three platformers, one of which was on the YoYo Games showcase back in the day.

• Super Freaks 1, formerly known as The Search for Tikiman, was released in 2006. While I have a heavily remastered version uploaded to itch.io in addition to Ultimate Edition, this release will be the original version.
• Super Freaks 2, formerly known as Scruffy’s Quest, has never actually been released online before—this trilogy pack will be its debut. This game attempted to have a more cinematic tone and has poor man’s Treasure bosses. While I wasn’t as fond of it for a while, after fixing a ton of bugs and little level design issues, I actually think it’s far better than the first game now.
• Super Freaks 3, formerly known as Scruffy 3: A Day in the Life, was released on the YoYo Games Sandbox in 2008. It was the best of the three, featuring slightly better art and two special suits that were predecessors to the Unlimit Powers that modern Super Freaks games have (Ultimate Edition being an exception). I’ll be reworking the suits a tiny bit to make them less jank.

As of this blog post, 1 and 2’s polished updates are 100% done, and 3 is rapidly getting there. I will also be including the original unaltered releases if you want to experience the far buggier originals for some reason!
